Characterisation of the impact of immunosuppressants on the sensitivity of the yeast Malasseziawith regard to antifungals in canine atopic dermatitis

The MalIS programme aims to characterise the impact of immunosuppressants on the susceptibility of the Malassezia yeast to antifungals in canine atopic dermatitis. More specifically, it aims to explore the impact of immunomodulators on the susceptibility of Malassezia pachydermatis to antifungals in atopic dogs; to characterise the phenotypic changes in M. pachydermatis following prolonged exposure to immunosuppressants, by identifying the mechanisms of adaptation or tolerance to antifungals; and to investigate the genetic determinants underlying these changes.
